Sustainability.

Over 20 years ago, we began offering eco-friendly solutions. While the construction industry in Hong Kong grew, we also observed issues in high-rises and compact buildings, such as noise, lack of sunlight, poor indoor air quality, and high energy consumption. We quickly introduced various innovative solutions and technologies from abroad, aiming to improve overall wellbeing. We source cutting-edge technologies globally, adapt them for Hong Kong, Macau, and nearby areas, and collaborate with partners to educate stakeholders and provide ongoing service and maintenance.

Leading by example.

We lead by example when finding solutions. We test them ourselves first and we collaborate with partners on trials and pilot projects to learn and educate key players in each sector, demonstrating that the solution works. For example, during our recent office move, we monitored what was reused and upgraded.

Here are some steps we are taking in our office to support a sustainable future:

    • We use i-Mop, i-Vac for daily floor cleaning.

    • We use Kleen Purgatis detergentsand HOCl water for daily surface cleaning and disinfection.

    • We used Excentr during renovation for floor polishing, restoring the damage natural stone floor at reception area

    • We used viega for no hot works plumbing that is also made visible in our showroom

    • We used GRIPPLE for hanging cabling racks in our warehouse

    • All of our wellbeing products in our showroom are always free for our staffs to enjoy

    • Each month, we have different gathering sessions to educate staffs of what we can do more for health, wellness, sustainability etc.

    • During our three office moves, we reused all of our lighting fixtures, shelves, desks, and chairs, which we invested in over ten years ago.

    • We updated and rebuilt the feature wall in our new reception area.

    • Reuse 21% of our old air diffusers in the new office.

    • Reuse 84% of doors at our new office

    • Reuse of cabling and cable connectors

    More in detail here

  • To save energy, we started using sensor lighting in our office ten years ago. The previous tenant had over 60 light switches scattered around. Now, we only have one switch at the entrance, and all other lights turn on with motion sensors.

  • We use IoT smart thermostats and a central control unit for our air conditioning. Previously, there were 52 thermostat switches from past tenants. Now, we have just 2 touchscreen panels for all 52 fan coil units (FCUs), which turn on and off automatically.

  • We continually improve our air diffusers. In our office, we upgraded and retained 21% of the old units. The older diffusers provided good airflow and had adjustable nozzles, but we needed more flexibility for staff areas. So, we switched from single-nozzle to four-nozzle air diffusers. Each diffuser has a remote control for easy on/off operation.

  • We are a leader in many areas, but there are still some where we need improvement. Here are our immediate plans:

    • Automate the measurement of recyclable waste

    • Measure indoor air quality (IAQ)

    • Upgrade filters in return air units (our own product)

    • Continue to reduce paper usage
